Moldovan PM participates in meeting of Council of Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The measures of support of the business environment and the role of the society in the development of the native business have been some of the subjects tackled by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at the Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The PM emphasized the role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for identifying the constraints, as well as the opportunities in the activity of the business environment. Also, Dorin Recean stressed the importance of cultivating the respect for entrepreneurs in the society.

„The government is quite attentive with the business environment, as the entrepreneurs create jobs, pay salaries and contribute to the state budget, so that the state can provide the needed services to the citizens. Unfortunately, the profit is still not respected in our society, or we will not be able to develop the active entrepreneurial class without this. No matter what we do, - de-bureaucratization, attraction of foreign investments, implementation of projects on backing the small- and medium-sized business, we need the citizens to recognize the role of the business environment, along with the education, culture, health and other aspects which edify the society,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.     

The PM also referred to the need of a closer cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Investments Agency, Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry, in order to continue the process of industrialization of the agriculture and promotion of the association as measure of enhancing the businesses’ competitiveness.   

This year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry turned 105 years of work, being the biggest business association of Moldova, which brings together over 1,100 members, big, small- and medium-sized enterprises from all branches of the economy. The CCI system comprises 10 branches, which provide assistance necessary to companies, legal entities and private people from all over the country.
