Moldova's Customs Service collects over 740 million lei in last week

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service on 4-10 December collected over 740.9 million lei (about 37 million euros) to the state budget.
At the same time, on this period, private people imported goods the value of which exceeds the non-taxable limit in customs, with payments worth 41.2 million lei collected, which accounts for 5.6 per cent of the overall sum. The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and redistributed for salaries, development of infrastructure, social protects, etc.
As for the combating of frauds, on the concerned period, 92 infringements of the customs legislation were found out and fines amounting to 305,000 lei were imposed.
Since early 2023, the Customs Service has collected about 32.6 billion lei to the state budget, up by 4 per cent against the same period of the year before.
