Moldovan, European officials discuss current issues

Chisinau, Dec. 13 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a working meeting with Director of the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments of the European Commission Peter M. Wagner, accompanied by Head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova Janis Mazeiks, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.
The meeting focused on an exchange of views regarding the main developments in the Transnistrian settlement case, including from the perspective of the regional security situation, which is constantly changing, and many challenges to stability in the Black Sea area.
The situation in the Security Zone in the conditions of the prolongation of the war in Ukraine was also addressed. The Moldovan official informed about the actions taken by the national authorities and highlighted the challenges that require special attention and appropriate reactions.
Serebrian noted the significant role of the opportunities and assistance projects offered to Moldova in the European integration process, which bring added value to the advancement of the country's reintegration process.
The sides reiterated the importance of permanent coordination of activities and approaches on issues of mutual interest.
