Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Hungarian counterpart in Paris

Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, along with Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, who is also the co-head of the Moldovan-Hungarian inter-governmental joint commission for economic cooperation, have had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Hungary Szijjártó Péter in Paris, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service reported.
Given that the European Council will take place on the next two days, the officials referred to the importance of the European Union’s enlargement. We share the conviction that the EU’s enlargement is an essential catalyst for widening the area of the European peace and security and, at the same time, represent an opportunity for the consolidation of the democratic values and the rule of law state.
The officials also tackled the cooperation between Moldova and Hungary, stressing the importance of strengthening the economic relations. In the context, the sides welcomed the return of the WizzAir air company to Moldova’s air market.
