Balti city residents to have 22 new trolley buses

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - The trolley buses bought for the Balti city residents will be exempted from customs duties. The parliament’s commission for economy, budget and finances will suggest that the parliament’s plenum approves a draft law to this effect.
It is about 22 new trolley buses, with autonomous long-distance movement, worth 5.8 million euros in all. The trolley buses are to move in Balti, as well as to connect the city with the villages Corlateni, Elizaveta and Rautel. The transport means will be purchased from Ukraine and are to soon be brought to Moldova.
These investments will be financed with a loan worth 4.6 million euros of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and with a grant of 2.4 million euros of the European Union Neighbourhood Investment Platform.
