Moldovan PM urges citizens to join initiative by head of state to celebrate European Moldova

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has urged the citizens to join the initiative by President Maia Sandu, who today launched an invitation to celebrate the European Moldova on 17 December.   

„Congratulations on the historical decision! Starting from next Monday, everybody starts the negotiations; the teams leave for Brussels. So, we have fulfilled a quite important stage by working assiduously. But what has been so far was just the warming; starting from next Monday, we must negotiate on all 33 chapters. This effort is our effort of edification of the state Republic of Moldova. This is our historical chance and I am sure that we will enjoy this chance and will work assiduously, in order to bring Europe here, home. On Sunday at 14:00, we have the invitation of President Maia Sandu to celebrate together in the yard of the Presidency. On Sunday, we will celebrate and as of Monday, we will work,’’ PM Dorin Recean said in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting.        

President Maia Sandu today made an announcement for all citizens, thereby inviting them to celebrate the European Moldova. The event will take place in the yard of the Presidency on 17 December at 14:00. The action is organized, after the European Council on 14 December voted for the starting of the negotiations on Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
