Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The tenth issue of the At Home on Christmas Fair, staged at the Moldexpo exhibition centre on these days, is held as normal and the fire which broke out on the area of the exhibition centre on 15 December did not hit the fair’s work. Residents of the capital and its guests can visit, in continuation, the exhibition, where they will find everything needed for the winter holidays, beginning with decorations and presents, up to food products and beverages.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the Moldexpo director general, Carolina Chiper, said the fire which had broken out at the exhibition centre on 15 December evening was minor and occurred in another pavilion than the one where the Christmas Fair was staged and, respectively, it had no consequences on the Fair’s work.
„On this period, two exhibitions take place at Moldexpo – the Christmas Fair in the pavilion 2 and Yard Sale, organized in the pavilion 3. On 15 December evening, a fire triggered by a garland broke out in the pavilion 3. The fire was a minor one and was soon liquidated by firemen. Thus, the activity of Yard Sale was cancelled and the At Home on Christmas Fair continues its work as normal and the producers or visitors are not affected,’’ the Moldexpo director noted.
The Christmas Fair will be opened till 17 December. The event’s guests will enjoy an atmosphere of holiday created by folk bands, which will delight the people with dances and carols.
