Moldovan parliament hosts first international forum dedicated to film industry

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament has hosted the first international forum dedicated to the film industry, CinemaHora. The event brought together film makers from 20 European countries, for the first time ever in Moldova, the parliament’s communication and public relations department reported.
With a comprehensive and diverse schedule, carried out on 16-17 December, CinemaHora brought to the forefront important discussions on the international cinematography, in which professionals from more European countries participated. Attending the inauguration event were President Maia Sandu, Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan, MP, member of the parliamentary commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media Marcela Nistor, Ambassador of the United States to Moldova Kent D. Logsdon and the first secretary of the Embassy of Sweden in Moldova, Thomas Alveteg.
The forum was organized by the National Cinematography Centre of Moldova, in partnership with the Culture Ministry and the Future Technologies Activity in Moldova Project, financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Sweden and the United Kingdom.
