Moldovan electoral body announced results of repeated elections held in Aluatu village, Taraclia district

Chisinau, 18 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced the results of the repeated voting, the runoff election for mayor in the village of Aluatu, Taraclia district.
According to the preliminary results, a participation of 24.90 percent of the number of voters included in the electoral lists was recorded. The 188 validly cast votes were distributed as follows: Elena Celac, Party of Change - 73 votes (38.83%) and Anatolie Gusarenco, Party of Socialists - 115 votes (62.17%).
According to the Electoral Code, repeated voting is considered valid regardless of the number of voters who participated in the poll. At the same time, the candidate who has got the highest number of votes is considered elected in the runoff election.
