Moldova's National Police marks 33rd anniversary of foundation

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/ - The National Police of Moldova marks the 33rd anniversary of its foundation today. Along with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean congratulated the institution’s employees and awarded more Honorary Diplomas on behalf of the government, as a token of gratitude for the irreproachable service, the government’s communication department has reported.
The PM highlighted the devotion and the sacrifice proved by the policemen, when they ensure the peace of the citizens of Moldova and fight against the hybrid attacks, fostered in the last two years.
The prime minister also referred to the work of the police in the context of Moldova’s European integration way. Recean also emphasized the contribution of the European Union, United States, Romania and other partners to the creation of strong institutions, in the service of the citizens. Due to the foreign support, the police are endowed with special equipment, vehicles and last generation technology. Thus, the inspectorates from Moldova become more modern and the quality of the services provided to people improves.
„For the next period, we are set to achieve two goals – to enhance the citizens’ confidence in the police and shorten the intervention time. You are in the centre of the institutions in charge of ensuring the public order and security and from now on, we have even more work to do, including for our country’s integration into the European Union,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
