Chisinau, Dec. 20 /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law amending the Law on Volunteering were published in the Official Journal today.

The document was set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It includes the notion of "domains of public utility" of the activity in the civil protection and fire protection.

The new rules set out the obligation of the host institution to ensure that the volunteering activity is carried out in compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.

Program for consolidating the rescue and fire service in the rural localities of the Republic of Moldova was launched in 2013. In 2023, out of 10,048 service missions of the rescue teams, 586 were carried out by the territorial posts where the volunteer rescuers and firefighters are operating.
