Two Moldovan MPs resign

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - Gheorghe Agheorghiesei and Adrian Lebedinschi have resigned from the position of MP of Moldova’s parliament. The draft decisions through which the lawmakers take note of their applications were considered at a today’s meeting of the parliament’s juridical commission for appointments and immunities.
Gheorghe Agheorghiesei from the faction of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) gave up his mandate, after he had been elected mayor of the Varzaresti commune from the central Nisporeni district.
Adrian Lebedinschi of the faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) gives up his lawmaker mandate in favour of the one of councilor in the Chisinau Municipal Council.
Respectively, two MP mandates which belong to PAS and BCS will be declared vacant.
In accordance with the Law on the status of MP, the vacant mandates will be assigned to substitutes.
