Period of reimbursement of value added tax for farmers to be extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - The period of reimbursement of the value added tax (VAT) for the farmers will be extended. The parliament’s commission for agriculture and food industry today approved the co-report on the draft on amendment of the Law on the programme of VAT’s reimbursement.    

The amendments suggested regard the extension, by 12 months, of the period in which the economic agents working in the agriculture sector will benefit from the reimbursement of the value added tax. The draft was elaborated, in order to diminish the negative impact of the increase in prices for inputs and the international logistics on the economic agents from the agriculture and food industry sector, as well as to drastically decrease the purchasing prices for the farming products on international markets.    

According to estimations by the competent authorities, about 700 economic agents working in the agriculture field will benefit from the VAT’s reimbursement and the sum allocated from budgeted resources will be of about 285 million lei.
