Government supports opening of pharmacies in villages

Chisinau, Dec. 21 /MOLDPRES/- Economic agents who will set up pharmacies in villages will receive subsidies and other facilities from the state. Today, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a Regulation on licensing conditions for pharmaceutical activity in rural localities, the government's communication department has reported.
Entrepreneurs who will open pharmacies in villages where there is no pharmaceutical assistance will receive a free license and monthly subsidies from 10 to 20 thousand lei, depending on the registered income.
The project aims to provide the rural population with essential medicines, through the rational location of pharmacies in the regions. This will contribute to maintaining the health of the population, and significantly reducing barriers to access to treatment, generating a positive impact on the quality of life of citizens.
1510 pharmacies are currently authorized in Moldova, which are unevenly distributed, since most of them are concentrated in municipalities and district centers.
