Average monthly salary forecast for 2024 to be 13,700 lei

Chisinau, Dec. 21 /MOLDPRES/- Average monthly salary forecast for 2024 will increase by 2,000 lei - from 11,700 to 13,700 lei. A decision in this sense was approved at today's cabinet meeting, the government's communication department has reported.
The size of the forecasted average monthly salary for the economy is used to determine the ceiling of the basis for calculating social insurance allowances, the insured monthly income of employees-residents of IT parks, and to determine the amount of damages, in case of committing legal violations.
The average monthly salary for the economy is adjusted annually, in accordance with the main macroeconomic indicators.
