Youth organizations of Moldova can get grants worth up to 600,000 lei

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/ - The youth organizations can get grants worth up to 600,000 lei (30,000 euros) on behalf of the state. The programme of grants was launched in Chisinau today. The files on participation in the contest can be submitted till 19 February 2024.

The state secretary at the Education and Research Ministry, Sergiu Gurin, said the overall budget for providing the grants for the youth organizations in 2024 was of ten million lei.

The director of the National Agency for Youth, Ion Donea, said the value of grants provided for the local projects presented at the contest can be of 200,000 lei at the most, for regional projects – 400,000 lei and for national ones - 600,000 lei.

The non-commercial youth organizations from Moldova, which carry out initiatives meant for young people, can participate in the Programme. The projects submitted to the Programme must be focused on a string of priorities, including the development of the human and institutional capacities in the youth sector, simulation of the culture of civic and decision-making participation among young people and the backing of projects on social innovation and community development.
