Moldovan justice minister's message for participants of Prosecutors' Assembly

Chisinau, Dec. 22 /MOLDPRES/- It's time to show that you want change and put your shoulder to make it happen. This is the message sent by Minister of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru to prosecutors participating in General Assembly of Prosecutors today.

In a message published on her official page, the head said that today is a very important day for the prosecution system.

"The continuation of the General Assembly of Prosecutors takes place, where the members of the Superior Council of Prosecutors are to be elected, from among the candidates who have passed the evaluation of ethical and financial integrity (pre-vetting). I urge and encourage all prosecutors to be actively involved in this exercise and move forward so that a self-administration body with professional and integrity members is formed, which will contribute to the reform of justice and the fight against corruption, to increase people's trust in the prosecutor's office. This is essential both for the country and in the context of our commitments in the EU accession process. Now, it is everyone's duty, including the prosecutors, to contribute to the commitments be carried out. Dear prosecutors, society has high and justified expectations. It's time to show that you want change and put your shoulder to make it happen," the minister wrote.

The General Assembly of Prosecutors is held at Moldexpo today. 490 prosecutors attend the event.
