Chisinau, Dec. 27 /MOLDPRES/- Procedure for organizing and conducting mandatory medical examinations for some categories of employees has been simplified. Today the government approved two sanitary regulations in this regard.
One of the regulations refers to mandatory medical examinations for certain categories of employees, aimed at preventing communicable diseases. These examinations are free of charge and will be financed from the funds of the compulsory healthcare insurance. The second regulation concerns the health surveillance of workers exposed to risk factors at work.
The main provisions of the project refer to the efficiency of time for hiring process, the elimination of excessive bureaucratic barriers, the improvement of the quality of medical services and the focus only on strictly necessary and reasoned investigations. As part of these measures, it is proposed to revise and simplify the list of occupational exposure risk factors, the volume of investigations and the periodicity of medical examinations.
Mandatory prophylactic medical consultations of workers ensure the prevention and detection of diseases, maintenance of health and work capacity of employees, as well as monitoring of their health in relation to occupational risk factors.
