Moldovan government approves draft on providing protection to people displaced from Ukraine

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a draft on the providing of temporary protection to people displaced from Ukraine.

Interior Minister Adrian Efros has said that the draft was worked out, in order to ensure the continuity of the process of documentation of people who ask for temporary protection.

According to the Interior Ministry (MAI), if the emergency state is lift, the applicants for temporary protection might face difficulties to get the protection needed.

Thus, to ensure the access of people to temporary protection and avoid the family’s separation, amendments were made, in order to complete the normative act with clear-cut instructions on the list of people who are regarded as family members and establish the declaration on one’s own responsibility as to the residence address of the beneficiary of temporary protection.
