Allocations for veterans to be increased in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament has adopted, in the first and second readings, a draft law through which the state increases the support provided to the veterans and their families.
Respectively, the war veterans who participated in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, the people who fought in Afghanistan, the participants in the World War II, as well as the people who remained with disabilities in the wake of these conflicts will receive allocations higher by 250 lei as of 1 January 2024.
The spouses of the World War II veterans, as well as one of the parents of the participants in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence will benefit from the growth. Eighty two million lei will be earmarked in the state budget for 2024 for the increased allocations.
As many as 26, 910 people will benefit from these legislative initiatives.
