Chisinau, Dec. 29 /MOLDPRES/- Entrepreneurship Development Organization (ODA) director Dumitru Pîntea announced today that he is leaving the position as of 1 January 2024, "according to the resignation request submitted on his own initiative".
The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization noted that it will soon start the competition procedure for the selection of the new director. The interim will be held by Gheorghe Iudin.
Over the past two years, ODA has gone through a series of complex structural changes. The ODA reform brought major changes in the support instruments for entrepreneurs, in the way of allocating financial resources and in the decision-making mechanism. At the same time, ODA reviewed all entrepreneurial support programs, launched new programs and expanded the group of eligible beneficiaries.
As regards access to financing, ODA strengthened the activity framework of the Credit Guarantee Fund and launched the Fund for Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth of Moldova (FACEM). In half a year, about 200 entrepreneurs benefited from loans under Program 373, in the total amount of about 500 million lei (25 million euros).
ODA has implemented programs such as compensating the expenses of patent holders who switch to independent activity, the expenses borne by the units that train specialists in the dual education process and interest rates on investment loans.
