Contest for office of president of Court of Accounts launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliamentary commission for the control of public money today approved a decision on the launch of a public contest for the selection of the candidate for the office of president of the Court of Accounts (CCRM). People interested can submit their files to the contest till 9 February 2024.
According to the parliament’s press service, the candidates for the position of CCRM president must have education in the economic, financial or legal sectors, as well as an experience of at least ten years in these fields, of which five years of managerial experience.
Under the contest’s regulation, the candidates must be citizens of Moldova, must know the Romanian language, must not have criminal antecedents, should be professionally just and must not have a ban on holding a public office. To participate in the contest, candidates should submit a motivation letter written in the Romanian language, in which they are to explain their opinion on the work of the Court of Accounts.
The public contest for the selection of the candidate for the office of president of the Court of Accounts will include the examination of the candidates’ CVs and the exam of the interview.
The Court of Accounts is made up of seven members and is led by a president.
