Customs employees of Moldova to work in enhanced regime during New Year mini-vacation

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - The customs employees, along with the policemen, during the New Year mini-vacation, will work at enhanced capacity, in order to exclude jams in the cross-border traffic and ensure a quick control.  

According to the competent authorities, the following actions will be carried out jointly: permanent monitoring of the situation as to the flow of passengers and transport means; supply, if needed, of the number of employees from the first line of control; the use at the maximum of the infrastructure of the border checkpoints; to this end, other control lanes will be opened for movement and the Revers procedure will be enforced, if necessary; redirecting of cases in need of additional documentation and verifications to other staff but the one which is directly working on the control lane; interoperability of the databases, in order to facilitate the work of the employees and ensure the quickness in processing the data from the travel documents and the customs control; creation of joint teams and synchronization of the actions between the customs employees and the border policemen, as well as the maintaining of direct contacts with counterparts from Romania and Ukraine, in order to quickly intervene in any situation.     

The authorities give assurances to the participants in the cross-border traffic that all activities will be organized for guaranteeing a civilized traffic.
