Customs Service reported revenues of over 35.2 billion lei in 2023

Chisinau, 2 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- In 2023, the Customs Service collected over 35.2 billion lei (about 1.7 billion euros) to the state budget, an increase of 3.8% compared to 2022 and 23.5% compared to 2021.

In December 2023, the revenues to the state budget administered by the customs body increased. Revenues of 3.5 billion lei were recorded, up by 4.1% than in December 2022.

The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.
