Moldovan PM conveys message of sympathy to Japanese counterpart

Chisinau, 2 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has conveyed a message of sympathy to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on the losses of human lives triggered by the recent earthquake in Japan.
„We are grieved by the news of the devastating earthquake which has recently occurred in Japan. We convey the deepest condolences to the families who lost the dear people and all those who were directly affected by the consequences of the earthquake. Moldova’s citizens are with the Japanese citizens in these difficult times. Our thoughts are with your nation, Mr. Prime Minister Kishida,’’ reads the message by PM Dorin Recean.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 degrees on the Richter open scale occurred in the central-northern region of Japan on 1 January. According to the most recent provisional summing up by the local authorities, the earthquake killed 48 people and caused ‘’significant material damage.’’
