Ministry of Agriculture to finance local action groups under LEADER Program

Chisinau, 3 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) announces the launch of Call II for submitting applications under the LEADER Program, aimed at selecting local action groups (LAG) and approving local development strategies for funding from the national fund for agriculture development and rural environment. The application submission period is January 15 - February 23, 2024.

The launch of this call complies with the Government Decision, by which the Regulation on granting subsidies in advance for local development through the implementation of the LEADER Program was approved. The call for proposals is intended for LAGs from the Republic of Moldova, which operate in accordance with the principles of the LEADER approach and have a local development strategy approved by the general assembly of the LAG.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry encourages the active participation of Local Action Groups to contribute to the sustainable development of local communities.
