Pupils' winter vacation to be extended by a day or two

Chisinau, 8 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Winter vacation will be extended by a day or two, for pupils in several localities of the country. The decision was adopted today by the Commissions for Emergency Situations (CSE) at district or municipality level, due to bad weather conditions.

In Chisinau and Balti, as well as in the districts of Anenii Noi, Orhei, Taraclia, Glodeni, Străseni, Telenești, pupils will return to classrooms on January 11.

In the districts of Cantemir, Călărași, Căușeni, Cimișlia, Criuleni, Dubăsari, Fălești, Florești, Ialoveni, Leova, Nisporeni, Rezina, Ungheni, Sângerei, Șoldănești, Ștefan Vodă, it will end on January 9, with a return to school on January 10.

At the same time, in some districts, schools will resume the educational process starting tomorrow, January 9. It is about Basarabeasca, Briceni, Cahul, Dondușeni, Drochia, Edineț, Hâncești, Ocnița, Râșcani, Soroca and Gagauzia. An exception is the approximately 600 students from these localities who travel by school transport, as they will learn remotely.

The Ministry of Education and Research will monitor the decisions approved at the local level by the CSE and, if necessary, will present updated information on the organization of the educational process.
