Snow removed on all main streets of Chisinau, ways of access to suburbs

Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/ - All main streets from the Moldovan capital and the ways of access to the suburbs have been cleaned of snow and transport means move in winter conditions.  

According to the Chisinau city hall, teams of workers and special vehicles of the Exdrupo administration intervene in all districts of the city and in the suburbs. The actions of snow removal are carried out by 22 units and about 70 workers, who intervene to clean the snow on the secondary roads and the access roads to yards.  

At the same time, the workers clean the access to the social institutions, hospitals, kindergartens, as well as the access to the stops of the public transport, sidewalks, especially the crosswalks.  

Also, 350 people are involved in works of removing snow in parks and squares from the capital. The Green Areas municipal enterprise has 11 transport units involved in snow removal: snow removing tractors, spreaders of antiskid material and equipment used for removing snow and sweeping.   

Also, given that the children are on winter holidays till 10 January inclusively, the municipal authorities warned parents to attract attention to where they take their children for walk and where they go to sleigh. Thus, it is important that they are quite attentive in the areas where there are old trees. On the last two days, a big quantity of ice has accumulated on branches, which makes trees heavier and can trigger their collapses.
