Moldovan president to pay visit to Timisoara, Romania, at invitation by mayor Dominic Fritz

Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu goes to Timisoara, Romania, on 12-13 January, at an invitation by the mayor of this city, Dominic Fritz. During the visit, the head of state will participate in the gala of awarding the prize, Timisoara For European Values, the presidential press service has reported.

President Maia Sandu is the first laureate of this prize, established by the Timisoara municipality in 2023. The prize honours the personalities recognized internationally, who promote or protect with determination, courage and creativeness the European values inside and outside the European Union.

Also on 13 January, the head of state will be hosted by Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu at the Royal Castle from Savarsin. Also, President Maia Sandu on 12 January will meet the community of Moldovans living in Timisoara.
