Five localities still cut off power following heavy snowfall

Chisinau, 10 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- According to the information provided by electricity suppliers, today in the morning 5 localities in Rezina district are still without from electricity. Lalova, Cuizăuca, Otac, Bușăuca and Roșcani villages are to be reconnected by specialized teams.

According to IGSU, during the last 24 hours rescuers intervened in 31 situations to unblock car transport on the routes. Rescuers carried out most missions in Chisinau, Hâncești, Nisporeni, Orhei, Ialoveni, Ungheni and Cantemir.

According to the State Road Administration, 448 technical units and 378 workers were involved in spreading anti-skid material, with around 3,164 tons of anti-skid material spread. Road traffic on national roads is under winter conditions. Currently the national roads are not blocked.
