Central Electoral Commission registers initiative group for collection of signatures on amalgamation of two Moldovan settlements

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today registered an initiative group made up of 32 people for the collection of signatures, in order to initiate the procedure of voluntary amalgamation of the Floreni village, central Anenii Noi district, and Sangera town, Chisinau municipality.    

Following the examination of the documents, CEC established that the procedure of setting up of the initiative group had been carried out with the observance of the legal provisions.

„Till 26 March this year, the initiative group will collect the signatures of at least 10 per cent of the number of citizens with right to vote who reside in the Floreni village, Anenii Noi district, which represents a number of 330 out of those 3,294 voters,’’ the Commission said.   

CEC will give the initiative group’s members identity cards and subscription lists for the collection of signatures.
