Court of Accounts to be subject to external audit

Chisinau, February 16 /MOLDPRES/- Members of the Parliamentary Commission for control of public finances approved today the specifications for the acquisition of external financial audit services of the financial statements of the Court of Accounts. The external audit will be carried out for 2019-2023.

According to the Law on organization and operation of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova, the Parliament is to select an independent audit organization.

Commission's head Tatiana Cunețchi said that in the budget of the Parliament for the current year financial means were provided for carrying out the external financial audit of the Court of Accounts.

The external audit of the financial statements of the Court of Accounts involves the examination of the veracity of the financial reports regarding the execution of the budget of the Court of Accounts for 2019-2023, its correspondence with the financial reporting regulations in the budgetary sector, as well as the conformity of the economic-financial operations performed.
