Moldovan leadership comes up with reactions after USA announced sanctions against Marina Tauber

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean have come up with reactions, after the United States today announced sanctions against Marina Tauber.

„I thank the United States for having taken today decisive measures against those who undermine the integrity of our elections on behalf of the Kremlin through the illegal purchasing of votes. We are together strong against the threats to our democratic values,’’ the head of state said.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean commented on the announcement concerning the sanctions against Marina Tauber. ‘’I welcome the decision by the Government of the USA to include in the list of sanctions the people in charge of the actions which undermine the security of Moldova and facilitated the Kremlin’s interference with the elections. The support of our partners goes hand in hand with our continuous efforts to fight against the frauds and to protect the democracy,’’ the PM said.
