Moldovan patrol policemen document over 3,800drivers for infringements committed in road traffic on last days off

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - Patrol Policemen documented over 3,884 drivers for infringements committed in the road traffic on the last days off.

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), 42 drivers were detected driving drunk. At the same time, 1,489 drivers were sanctioned for exceeding the speed limit and 602 – for ignoring road signs and the ban traffic lights.

Also, 448 drivers stopped their vehicles in forbidden places and 142 people were driving the cars without their safety belt coupled. On the same period, 128 drivers were sanctioned for failure to give priority to pedestrians.

In the last week-end, patrol inspectors intervened in 300 cases – calls received by the 112 Single Service.
