Group of Moldovan MPs participate in ordinary session of EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan parliament’s delegation participates in the 11th ordinary session of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly (PA). The delegation led by the head of the commission for foreign policy and European integration, Ina Coseru, is made up of MP Vasile Gradinaru and Vitalie Jacot.    

The 11th ordinary session of the EURONEST PA will be held in Brussels on 19-20 March. Meetings of the EUREONEST PA’s committees are planned on the first day of the session: the Committee on Foreign Policy, Human Rights and Democracy; Committee on European Integration; Committee on Economic Integration, Legal Approximation and Convergence with EU Policies; Committee on Energy Security; Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Culture and Civil Society. Also on 19 March, discussions will be held within the working group on association agreements, as well as informal meetings with political families.  

The 11th ordinary session of the EURONEST PA will be inaugurated on 20 March. The agenda contains discussions on the support provided by the European Union to Ukraine, perspectives of EU’s enlargement, as well as the impact of these perspectives on the Eastern Partnership.  

The EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly was founded in Brussels on 3 May 2011, when the parliament speakers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and European Union signed the Assembly’s Foundation Act. The mission of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly is to promote the conditions necessary for the political association and economic integration between the EU and the Eastern European partners, as well as to consolidate the cooperation with EU. The multilateral assembly contributes to the consolidation, development and enhancement of the Eastern Partnership’s visibility.
