Causeni district hospital from Moldova endowed with ultrasound equipment

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Causeni district hospital has been endowed with ultrasound equipment. The procurement was made within the Kusanone Programme, financed by the government of Japan.
A grant worth 40,000 dollars was provided to this end. The Embassy of Japan in Moldova noted that the project was aimed at strengthening the imagistic capacities and the ones of patients’ investigation.
At the ceremony on the project’s completion, the first secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Moldova, Mori Mariko, said that the new diagnosing ultrasound device would allow carrying out several thousands of examination per year at the hospital. ‘’Japan has been Moldova’s partner in the medical and health fields for more years,’’ the official also said.
The Kusanone programme of grants for human security was launched in Moldova in 2008. So far, Japan has provided non-refundable financing worth 7.3 million dollars for 88 projects in the sectors of education, health and public utilities.
