Moldovan parliament appoints Tatiana Sevciuc as president of Court of Accounts

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - Tatiana Sevciuc is the new president of the Court of Accounts (CCRM). Sixty nine MPs today approved a draft decision to this end.
According to the legal procedures, Tatiana Sevciuc took oath in parliament.
The candidacy of Tatiana Sevciuc was selected following the organization of a public contest. In all, three files were submitted to the contest, one of which was incomplete, however. Respectively, two persons were admitted to the interview examination and Tatiana Sevciuc got the largest number of points.
Tatiana Sevciuc is PhD in economics and has experience in the public money field. In 2022, she was appointed by the parliament as CCRM member.
At the same time, the parliament found out the ceasing of the mandate of President of the Court of Accounts Marian Lupu following the expiration of the term for which he was appointed by the parliament.
Under the legislation, the president of the Court of Accounts is appointed by the parliament for a five-year period, with the votes of the majority of the MPs.
