Moldovan president congratulates community of Azerbaijanis from Moldova, who mark Nowruz

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Nowruz holiday dates back from more than 3,000 years ago and starting from 2009, this holiday has been part of the UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. At the same time, as of February 2010, the United Nations General Assembly declared the day of 21 March as International Nowruz Day.
The holiday means purity and eternal human values, means unity in family and in community, means cultural traditions promoted and perpetuated during time. On this occasion, President Maia Sandu conveyed a congratulatory message for the community of Azerbaijanis from Moldova.
„The astronomic spring has started and with it, also the joy in the hearts of the Azerbaijanis from all over the world, which mark Nowruz Bayram – the holiday of peace and harmony, of natural revival and of the hopes or a prosperous and bright future. I congratulate the community of Azerbaijanis from Moldova and those who celebrate the Nowruz, on the occasion of the nice and renewing holiday. May your home be place of meetings for all dear people and the souls open for kindness and light. Novruz bayramınız mübarək olsun! A happy Nowruz holiday! ” the Moldovan president said.
