100 healthcare workers to be trained in clinical management of stroke

Chisinau, March 26. /MOLDPRES/- A number of 100 medical workers are participating on March 25-29 in simulation training on management of acute ischemic stroke (AIS).

According to the Ministry of Health, during this week, more than 100 neurologists, imaging-radiologists, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists-reanimatologists, radiology technicians, nurses, including from the Anesthesia and Intensive Care departments will be involved in the simulation workshops. The simulation sessions are supported by consultant doctors in stroke pathology of the hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and neurologists of Moldova.

Health workers will put into practice the knowledge about stroke management accumulated during the three rounds of training held in November 2023, as well as December 2023 and this January.

The workshops are organized by the Ministry of Health and the Society of Neurologists of Moldova, with the support of the Swiss Cooperation Office, in the context of the launch of the national stroke healthcare service.
