Moldovan, Romanian officials approach bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, March 27. /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan-Romanian agenda, economic cooperation between the two states, accession process of our country to the European Union, as well as other issues of interest for the bilateral relationship between the Republic of Moldova and Romania were discussed in Bucharest by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and his Romanian counterpart, Marcel Ciolacu.
The Moldovan official appreciated the support offered by Romania in all key areas for the development of our country, stressing, in particular, the continuous support of the European target of the country. "Accession to the European Union is the priority objective of our country, and Romania is the partner that helps us step confidently on this path," said Recean.
The officials also referred to the infrastructure projects, carried out through joint effort, and cooperation in the energy, highlighting the major achievements in this segment. They pointed out the importance of using economic potential, focusing on drawing investments and creating new jobs. The two prime ministers are participating today in the second edition of Moldova - Romania: Capital Bridges forum.
Recean noted that the event takes place "on a truly significant day for both banks of the Prut - 106 years since the union of Bessarabia with Romania". "We are united by our common past, the language we speak and culture, and today, we are strengthening our bilateral ties, building new bridges between businesses from the Republic of Moldova and foreign investors and highlighting the economic opportunities of both countries," he said.
