Moldovan parliament ratifies agreement on free trade with members of European Free Trade Association

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament has ratified an agreement on free trade with Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, Norway and the Swiss Confederation (EFTA). The document has the goal to consolidate the economic cooperation between the states and to extend the commercial exchanges.
The agreement will provide opportune conditions for the export of Moldovan products and the companies from the EFTA countries will be encouraged to invest in Moldova. Thus, there will be opportunity to create new jobs in Moldova. Under the document, the customs duties will be eliminated on the imports of industrial products and concessions will be provided for the access of farming products on market. The agreement also includes chapters which regulate the commerce with services, electronic trade, public procurements, etc.
So far, EFTA has signed 29 free trade agreements with 40 countries.
