Moldovan tax body sets new record for daily revenues in March

Chisinau, April 1 /MOLDPRES/ - The State Tax Service (SFS) has reported a new record of collections per day. The record amount collected to the state budget on March 25, 2024 is 1.19 billion lei, which is 156.1 million lei more than the previous record in 2022.
At the same time, according to the SFS, in three months of 2024, incomes to the national public budget administered by the Tax Office amounted to about 17 billion lei (850 million euros), which denotes an increase of about 1.4 billion lei or 8.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Thus, 7.6 billion lei were collected to the state budget, about 102.2 million lei more compared to the same period of 2023, or an increase of 1.4%.
Revenues of about 1.7 billion lei were recorded at local budgets, up by 10.7%.
Also, in the state social insurance budget, the revenues increased by 17.4% during the period and reached 5.8 billion lei.
1.9 billion lei were collected to mandatory health insurance funds, which is about 254.8 million lei more compared to the same period of 2023 or by 15.3%.
