Moldovan, U.S. officials discuss cooperation

Chisinau, April 1 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova's role in Ukraine's recovery, importance of strengthening regional infrastructure and attracting investments in our country were issues discussed at a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery Penny Pritzker, the government's communication department has reported.
The official appreciated the support offered to Ukrainians by the American side, noting that it represents an investment in the security of the entire European continent. At the same time, the prime minister stressed Moldova's willingness to take part in Ukraine's recovery by carrying out projects that will benefit both Ukrainian and Moldovan citizens.
"We focus on the implementation of projects to improve infrastructure and logistic processes, as well as those in the energy sector. At the same time, we are developing the business infrastructure in order to attract as many investment projects as possible, including those oriented towards the Ukrainian market and needs," Recean said.
Recean referred to the opportunities offered by our country to entrepreneurs and the promising areas in which they can successfully develop their businesses. These include the energy sector, with a focus on green energy, pharmaceuticals, information technologies, electronics and automotive industry.
Penny Pritzker stressed that the United States will remain a reliable partner for the Republic of Moldova in efforts to modernise the country, improve connectivity, attract investment and achieve the European agenda.
