Moldovan, Estonian officials approach reforms, cooperation

Chisinau, April 2 /MOLDPRES/- Security situation in the region and developments in Moldova's European path were discussed yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov and Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, the government's communication department has reported.
The phone conversation focused on the government's progress in implementing the reform agenda, aimed at speeding up our country's accession to the EU.
Cristina Gherasimov thanked Tsahkna for Estonia's strong support for Moldova's European path, in particular for the positive vote at the European Council meeting in December 2023, when it was decided to open accession negotiations with Moldova.
The official also said that the country is counting on Estonia's continued support for the early adoption of the negotiating framework and the organisation of the first intergovernmental conference.
