Some farmland owners to be exempted from paying health insurance policy

Chisinau, April 3 /MOLDPRES/- People owning agricultural land who are abroad for more than 183 days during the year will be exempted from the obligation to pay the compulsory health insurance policy, according to a decision approved today by the Government.
Under the draft law, owners of agricultural land, regardless of whether or not they have leased or contracted the land, who can prove that they have been abroad for more than 183 calendar days during the budget year, will not pay the compulsory health insurance policy.
The changes were initiated following requests from citizens of the diaspora.
