Romania prepares release of second instalment of 100 million euro-grant for Moldova

Chisinau, April 5 /MOLDPRES/ - Romania is preparing to disburse the second instalment of 100 million euro -grant for Moldova. It was discussed at a working meeting between Moldova's Ambassador to Bucharest Victor Chirila and Head of the Romanian Prime Minister's Chancellery Alexandru Mihai Ghigiu.
The sides discussed the projects financed by the Romanian Government, based on the non-reimbursable financial aid of 100 million euros, including the stage of approval of the second instalment.
According to the Moldovan Embassy in Romania, the officials also reviewed bilateral projects in the energy infrastructure, transport and customs cooperation.
In this context, the Ambassador thanked the Romanian Government for support in implementing projects of strategic importance for the Republic of Moldova.
In early 2022, Romania announced that it will provide the Republic of Moldova with a non-reimbursable financial aid of 100 million euros for the implementation of projects in key sectors.
