Moldova's foreign minister meets foreign and security policy adviser

Chisinau, April 9 /MOLDPRES/- Visiting Berlin, Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi met with Jens Plötner, foreign and security policy adviser to Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported.

"We focused on what is important for the current political situation: the presidential elections in autumn, the referendum for European Moldova and our joint actions for a stronger partnership with Germany.

The German official reaffirmed strong support for Moldova's European aspirations, as well as the implementation of economic development, infrastructure and good governance projects through bilateral Moldovan-German cooperation programmes.

We also discussed security challenges and the need for international support for Ukraine, which defends our European values," said Popsoi.
