Moldovan PM meets Lithuanian counterpart

Chisinau, April 11 /MOLDPRES/- Lithuania is a close partner of our country in areas such as the promotion of democracy, the fight against hybrid threats and European integration. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement at a meeting with Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė, the government's communication department has reported.
The sides discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation and joint projects for the benefit of citizens of the two countries.
Recean praised the increase in the volume of bilateral trade and noted that Lithuanian investors enjoy a welcoming business environment in our country. He urged other businessmen to invest in Moldova.
"The government is building a European Moldova and is firmly on the path of integration into the EU area. At the same time, we stand by Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and territorial integrity and continue to strengthen our relations with strategic partners such as Lithuania", said Recean.
There are 61 Lithuanian companies in the Republic of Moldova, with capital investment of 12 million lei.
