Chisinau, April 18 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean had a meeting with President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Oliver Röpke. They discussed civil society's role in Moldova's European integration.
Recean said that achieving the strategic goal of Moldova's accession to the European Union is a joint task of the authorities, citizens and civil society, stressing that the involvement of the associative sector and support for reforms by its members accelerates the transformation of the Republic of Moldova according to the European model.
"Moldova is irreversibly anchored on the European path, and in this process, cooperation between all members of society is significant. A larger European Union is a safer and more prosperous European Union, and the Republic of Moldova is ready to contribute to the common effort of European countries to promote peace and prosperity," said Recean.
The officials also approached the liberalisation of the labour market and the fight against disinformation, in the context of the hybrid war waged by the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova.
