Chisinau, April 18 /MOLDPRES/- Three high schools in Moldova will receive financial support to implement energy efficiency measures. Ten thousand textbooks in Romanian at A1 and A2 levels will also be published for people enrolled in the Romanian Language Program, including Ukrainian refugees. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed today between the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) and the People in Need organisation.
Over two million euros will be allocated for this purpose. "We are very pleased to sign this memorandum of cooperation with our Czech partners from the People in Need organisation in strategic areas for MEC," Education Minister Dan Perciun said.
For his part, Guillermo Llinas, People in Need Country Director, noted that "this significant investment will focus on two areas of interest: the digitisation and energy efficiency of educational institutions and the development of the national education system".
The three educational institutions that will be made energy efficient are Matei Basarab Theoretical High School in Chisinau, Stefan cel Mare Theoretical High School in Balti and Mihail Ciachir Theoretical High School in Ceadir-Lunga, which are part of the Model Schools Network.
